WD-40 - A Great Contact Cleaner
Controls and switches in electronic equipment can and should be cleaned and lubricated with WD-40 to keep them working properly. Just spray some WD-40 into the control or switch, and work the control back and forth to say goodbye to scratchiness and intermittency.
Always make sure all electrical sources are turned off before spraying WD-40 on any electrical switches or components.
