Pinch Roller Cleaner & Lubricator
I have been looking for a suitable cleaner/lubricator for the rubber pinch rollers on my reel-to-reel tape recorders. WD-40 removes dirt and residue from rollers with ease. WD-40 also appears to lubricate the rubber. Since WD-40 does not contain water and even displaces water, it will be an ideal fluid to use. WD-40 may soften the rubber, so make sure to wipe clean.
